Jvari Monastery is one of the most iconic in Georgia, built on the hill opposite Mtskheta, and dates back to 6th century AD.

A beautiful 18th century medieval town, located on a hilltop in Kakheti, and the capital of Georgia’s wine region.

Ushguli Village

One of the highest permanent settlements based in a remote location in the Svaneti region.

Rabati Castle

A medieval fortress from the 9th century in Akhaltsikhe, houses a mosque, church and a historical museum.

Fly to Tbilisi - Day 1-2

Fly overnight to Tbilisi. On arrival, transfer to your hotel where you have the rest of the day at leisure

Tbilisi - Day 3

After breakfast drive to Kakheti, where you will Bodbe – a monastic complex. Continue to Signagi, and then back to Tbilisi for your city tour that includes a cable car ride up to Narikala Fortress. Take a walk in the park near the Sulfur bathhouses, and cross the Bridge of Peace-a modern glass bridge in high-tech style before stopping at the Flea Market.

Tbilisi to Kutaisi - Day 4

This morning you will drive to Mtskheta, spending time visiting the historical sights of Jvari church and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. You will visit the House Museum of Joseph Stalin in Gori, the cave town of Uplistsikhe before arriving in Kutaisi.

Caucasus Mountains - Day 5

Explore Sataplia caves, best known for dinosaur footprints alongside the cave, before continuing to Mestia. It is a lengthy journey with regular stops along the way. Arrive in Mestia this evening.

Mestia and surrounds - Day 6

Today starts with a visit to Svaneti Museum of History and Ethnography, and then an exploration of Upper Svaneti. You will also visit the ancient villages of Mulakhi, Ipari and Kala. Return to Mestia

Mestia to Kutaisi - Day 7

Breakfast at the hotel is followed by driving to Kutaisi to visit two major historic-cultural sites - Gelati Academy/Monastery and Bagrati Cathedral. In the evening you will visit Gora Park, located on the top of the hill.

Borjomi Spa Waters - Day 8

Drive to Borjomi Spa resort, famous for its mineral water ‘Borjomi’. Visit the small park and taste the fresh mineral water. Continue to Akhaltsikhe where you will overnight

Rabati Castle - Day 9

Today you will visit Rabati Castle, and Rabat Fortress (Old Town) with its rare examples of darbazebi (traditional Georgian houses), castle, mosque and synagogues. Travel to Chachkari village before continuing to Vardzia.

Vardzia to Tbilisi - Day 10

This morning you will visit Vardzia, a cave town from the 12th century. Continue on your way to Tsalka, stopping near lake Paravani to visit the female monastery Foka. Return to Tbilisi with a stop at Dashbashi canyon, known as one of the most impressive natural monuments of Georgia.

Fly to UK - Day 11

Check-out after breakfast and transfer to the airport for your flight
